Lynn's Story
After retiring in 2021 from a long career in finance, Lynn was ready to enjoy a relaxed and happy new chapter of life. Instead, she was met with overwhelming nausea and exhaustion that took away her energy, independence, and joy. What began as mild discomfort soon became a daily struggle that dominated her world more than the pandemic ever had.
For over two years, Lynn searched for answers. She saw countless doctors, endured test after test, and filled spreadsheets just to keep track of her appointments. None of the medications or procedures helped — her symptoms only worsened. She couldn’t cook, socialize, or even sit through a meal. Friends barely recognized her; she’d lost her spark and her sense of self.
Everything changed when a gastroenterologist introduced her to Enterra® Therapy, an implant designed to help people with gastroparesis. With few options left, Lynn decided to take the chance. She received her device in August 2022, and within a few months, her life began to turn around. The constant nausea eased, her appetite returned, and by December, she felt like herself again.
Today, Lynn is living the retirement she once dreamed of. She’s back in her kitchen cooking Italian meals, going out with friends, and even traveling again. She and her husband recently moved to a 55+ community, where she enjoys the pool, clubhouse, and the company of new friends.
Looking back, Lynn says Enterra® Therapy gave her a second chance at life. “I feel like I’m living again,” she shares.
“If my story helps even one person realize there’s hope, it’s worth telling.”
